The Green Trail is 1km in length and is suitable for beginner & novice cyclists.

The surface of the trail is relatively flat and around 2m in width. The trail surface may be uneven, loose or muddy at times and offers short sections of flowing singletrack.

Gradients and Technical trail features include mostly shallow climbs and descents. On the Green route there is no challenging features and is a fantastic introduction to riding on singletrack in the forest.

This trail is suitable for most people in good health.

The Blue Trail is a stunning, flowing route around Swinley Forest, offering up 10km of great cycling.

The Blue Trail is suitable for intermediate cyclists & mountain bikers with basic off road riding skills. Mountain Bikes would be recommended to tackle this route.

The trail and surface type on the Blue route is similar to that of the Green route, but offers a purer singletrack experience with the all trails being around 1.2m in width.

In places the Blue trail can offer up more uneven, loose and muddy sections and introduces small obstacles such as roots and rocks.

Gradients and technical trail features include moderate gradients and some are much shorter and steeper to get the blood pumping.

A good standard of fitness can help complete this Blue trail with an ear-to-ear smile!

The Red Trails offers up 13km for proficient mountain bikers with good off-road riding skills.

The Red Trail is steeper and tougher than the Blue and Red. It is mostly singletrack with technical sections. Expect very variable surface types.

Gradients and technical trail features include a wide range of climbs and descents of a challenging nature. Expect berms, rocks, medium steps, drop offs, cambers and water crossings.

A higher level of fitness and stamina is recommended to take on the Red Route.

Swinley Bike Hub is working in partnership with The Crown Estate to bring to all riders a trail map marked with the designated number markers & emergency contact information.
